These placemats have a LONG, PASSIONATE story behind them. You can read about them on my blog. They measure about 12x17 inches. Just like the animals they feature and the feelings they evoke in us, some are a bit smaller than others. Like all of my recent work they are made from recycled fabric kindly donated to me by neighbors and friends. The placemats—or wall hangings, really—are hand-quilted with perle cotton and much love (for animals mainly). They can be washed gently, the way you’d wash a kitten, a piglet or a baby swan.
