“Rooster Today, Feather Duster Tomorrow” is a wall hanging that measures 23 x 27.5 inches. Made of discarded men’s wear from Goodwill—shirts, ties and underwear—this rooster sports red nail polish and a golden crown. He is strutting. Hot stuff, on fire. In a medieval gesture, rays emanate from his presence. But today’s celebration of male vigor is short-lived. “Feather duster tomorrow,” the Russian proverb reads.
